About Annie
Annie Sloan is a highly qualified expert in paint invention and manufacturing. She has authored 26 books on paint effects, colour, and Interior Design since publishing her first book in 1988, titled 'The Complete Book of Decorative Paint Techniques'.
Annie invented Chalk Paint to fulfill her need for a paint that could be quickly applied to achieve endless decorative effects on various surfaces such as wood, glass, metal, brick, and laminate. This paint can be left to dry and then waxed within one day, making it perfect for Annie's busy lifestyle as a working mother to three boys.
In 2021, Annie introduced her Wall Paint, a formula she perfected after years of research, extensive trials and independent testing. Wall Paint by Annie Sloan combines premium pigments with Annie's in-depth knowledge of the history of interiors and the practicality of an easy-to-use, durable, wipe-clean finish.
You can find further inspiration from Annie Sloan herself at House of Garnett. Annie collaborated with bespoke makers and artisanal craftspeople to create one-off pieces for her new residential space in Oxford. Some of these pieces, such as the beautiful tiles inspired by Virginia Woolf's novella Orlando, which Annie created with @ara_design_studio, are available for purchase in limited numbers.
